LEAVE A LEGACY

A gift can make a huge difference

When the rescue centre first started in 2006 we housed less than 100 animals, today the number is over 1,000 and growing almost on a weekly basis. As well as our rescue work other aspects of our work include the following:

  •     Publicising and promoting animal rescue & welfare.

  •     Consultants on conservation matters.

  •     Education & research working with many local schools, youth groups & local organisations.

  •     Work with groups and individuals that have 'special needs'.

  •     Being part of groups which include other like-minded organisations.

As a charity, Wetheriggs Animal Rescue relies on the generosity of its members and supporters. One of the best ways you can support us is to leave us a gift in your will.

Leaving a legacy to Wetheriggs Animal Rescue is really simple. Your solicitor will be able to help you amend your existing will to include Wetheriggs Animal Rescue as a beneficiary. You will just need our address which can be found at the bottom of this page, and our registered charity number which is 1131536

If you haven't created a will, a solicitor will be able to help you through the process.

Remember you do not pay any inheritance tax on any gifts to a charity.

Types of gifts you can give

Residual Bequest

The remainder of your estate once all of your other bequests have been made and all associated costs met.

Pecuniary Bequest

A specific sum of money left.

A gift in memory

By choosing to support Wetheriggs with a collection 'in lieu of flowers' or a gift 'in memoriam' you can make a lasting contribution.

If you wish to inform us about including us in your will, then all information will be kept strictly private and confidential. If you would like to discuss any aspects of leaving a gift in your will, please contact us by
